I agree that this type of thing is not given the due it deserves, however stone fortifications rataken into account in the game. It requires powerfuil magic to significanatly damage fortifications. ...

I don’t remember exactly which product I read this in, but it might be the original 1st edition DMG that points out that dungeons are the real fortress in the face of flying creatures (but even then, ...

It sounds to me that Tsojcanth was certainly an ally of the Six Against Shadow mentioned in Complete Champion - that the six named were among the "Others of like persuasion" mentioned by Gygax in his ...

I just noticed this topic. I used to argue about this on boards long ago.

I have to say that generally I prefer a pastiche for the simple reason that, if it is well done, it seems more real than w ...

I can't help noticing about 8 mages mentioned in this ring of 5 in the above posts. Who's correct? I do know the ring of 5 is mentioned in Greyhawk Ruins (PCs will actually meets some apprentices), ...

I've toyed with it before, always eventually deciding that it was too much work for the benefit, and that the final outcome was still not close enough to the D&D spells in effect or feel to justify th ...
