    Drow of the Underdark

    Just a confirmed FYI -

Look what's in Chapter 7: Erelhei-Cinlu. The final chapter examines one of the most infamous cities of the Underdark: Erelhei-Cinlu, located in the subterranean cavern known as the Vault of the Drow.

Yahoo! I can't wait. A revisited Greyhawk landmark!

This makes me happy - hopefully this is a sign of better things to come. :)

Has anyone checked out the chapter on the Vault of the Drow yet?

    What's it like?

Does it cover a lot more ground than what's in D1-3?

    Thanks

The chapter on Erelhei Cinlu is based on Fred Weining's article in Dragon Magazine Issue 298 (2002), including a close redraw of the map in that article. As such, it covers ALOT more ground then the original D-series. I quite like the book and will find it useful... which is saying alot since I still run a 2E campaign and have virtually no use for all the 3E crunch. If you like to feast on 3E crunch, then this book is a must-have for all Greyhawk DMs planning to run drow-heavy underdark campaigns.

The book has quite a bit of non-edition specific material so it may prove useful to many people. Chapter 7 is 23 page sides and expands on Erelhei-Cinlu. A few of the noble houses have been replaced/displaced due to open conflict among the priestesses.

This book has little or nothing in common with the 2e book of the same name. It has a very different feel to it.
