Names of Greyhawk

Just curious... How many people out there use the Evechanging Book of Names for WoG? How many make up their own? Are the names important to you, or just something to call PCs and NPCs? I myself use the EBoN and my own carefully chosen/modeled names. Names are very important to cultural identity, and I work hard to build that into my WoG. _________________ Greyhawk is dead; long live Greyahwk! It is not heresy; I will not recant!

I swear by EBoN, mostly because I'm lazy. I do think the quality of PC/NPC names is important for suspension of disbelief.

I produce 100 names for the region(s) in question and then select a set that strike me.
However, despite how much I appreciate the EBoN, I think its Greyhawk books inadequately produce Oerthly (rather than Earth) consistent names.
I recognize this is impossible due to Greyhawk's lack of syntactically coherent languages...

Personally, I use EBoN, but I've written my own books for WoG, based on the existing WoG books and my own ideas. _________________ Greyhawk is dead; long live Greyahwk! It is not heresy; I will not recant!

Even after 21 years of playing games where names are made up, I can still pull em outta thin air.
I use the super cheating method of using the 1st word I see in textual format and scramble.
For example, I needed a name and a Mountain Dew can was in front of me. That NPC became Wedmon Tain.
I'm fairly sure my PCs have never caught on to this, even after all these years. _________________ Kneel before me, or you shall be KNELT!

I do like the EBoN program, and use it when I run into a dry spot of names, especially for lots of NPCs. However for my PCs i still just used the guidelines from the Player's Guide to Greyhawk and make up my own.

1) What is the Everchaging Book of Names?
2) Generally, I just have PCs come up with a name, then tell them to "fudge" it a little, to make it fit their place of origin.
