One of the founders of our hobby and one of the most unsung contributors to Dungeons & Dragons, Len Lakofka has passed away at the age of 76.
Along with the many adventures, classes, spells, and rules he created, Len was also father of the Suel in Greyhawk, designer of their gods, and namesake of the Lendore Isles.
The value of his work goes without saying, but his presence will be sorely missed. The adventures of Leomund go on.
I'm looking for the following: a listing of Suel houses at the time of you-know-what; a listing of languages in the Flanaess (my LGG is packed away at the moment.
Thanks,
Nell.
And I'm posting here because a) I want to see if anyone notices, and b) it might or might not have to do with an OJ article.
Hi Nathan. I've noticed but don't feel like devoting time to researching a list of ancient Suel houses because it likely will require an obscure collection unless Jason Zavoda indexed "Suel house" or somesuch.
Regarding the languages, I'll bite. See LGG 11-12:
five primary languages
Baklunish, Ancient
Common
Flan
Oeridian, Old
Suloise, Ancient
dialects & sublanguages worthy of note
Amedi
Cold Tongue
Druidic
Ferral
Keolandish
Lendorian
Lendorian Elven
Nyrondese
Olman
Ordai (new language of the Wolf and Tiger Nomads)
Rhopan
Ulagha (new language of Ull)
Velondi
