Now, you're confusing gremlins and gargyoles, there... We gargoyles (TRUE gargoyles, that is!) are watchdogs and protectors. Gremlins love to muck up machines and things... Laughing

It wasn't Gargoyle, it was me. Everytime I get attached to something or try something new that is gaming related, it crashes and burns. I'm cursed! Sad

I am deeply hurt, I come to Canonfire for support for my problems and what do I get.... Sad

As much as I hate to say it, Oerth Journal is likely to suffer next! (Ducks stones thrown at her, I submitted awhile back!)

Exactly what I had intended all along! Wild speculation and absurd conspiracy theories! And those mutant Rockburg gargoyles? I thought they had all been exterminated by bounty hunters collecting material components for "wings of flying"? Happy

Seriously though, sounds like CF came back on its own (although slow as heck), and there is still no reply from the hoster. That tells me that all of the problems lie with the hoster.

On conspiracy therory subject, this could be an attempt from Whinners of the Cost to bring down the last living remant of GreyHawk. Grem unleashed to the server... But GreyHawk forces fought back the future...

Or since GreyHawk is that old and wise, it developed Sentience and mourned for the passing of EGG.

CBorg : Derro means insanity but not absence ( in a medical term )

    I have a question.

Does anyone know what happens when you roll a 1 on a Disable Device check? I thought you just broke a tool or somesuch. But it seemed a little worse.

Depends on what the device implies. If it's a trap then it could trigger and catch the rogue who failed. On fragile or delicate items, it could trigger AND break ( making it impossible to restore ).

But all in all, it is up to the DM. IMC I made critical tables ( either for success or fumbles ). Usually, think scary and gore.

So does CF count as fragile?

You know, I only wanted a little bit of information. For, like, a "project".

Hum.. then you will have to take the Forgery skill.

Is CF fragile ? I guess not. The backbone is strong enough. Time to time only a refitting is needed. The best way is to use hammer and anvil ( an dthe everlasting-beer-mug of Moradin ).

    When I rolled a 1 once, I broke a fingernail.

Seems like an excuse to never do anything risky again, eh Prophet? Wink

Forgery? Well they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Good for blackmail, embezzlement etc too.

I don't know about Moradin's mug; I want me a Everfull Mushroom Pot.

Moradin's Everlasting Beer Mug and Ragr's Everfull Mushroom Stew Cauldron... With those two artefacts, adventures will last forever...
