    Northern Islands (Flanaess)

Does anyone know the names of the following islands...........

The two (2) islands north of the Land of Black Ice

The four (4) islands off the east coast of the Land of Black Ice (1 big island and 3 small islands)

The big island north of Jotsplat (Ice Barbarians realm)

Any information on any of these islands would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance. Smile Smile

The four islands off the east coast of the LoBI are the Brink Islands. No individual names given. They were colonized (no date given) by the Zeai, or Sea Barbarians, who are cousins of the Ice Barbarians. They were the first non-Flan to have any impact on Blackmoor (by raiding the Blackmoor tribes).

To my knowledge there is nothing known about the two small islands off the northern coast of the LoBI, or the large island north of Jotsplat. I imagine the latter as something like Svalbard. Who knows, maybe it's ruled by a race of armored bears. Wink

Not that you asked, but I hadn't remembered seeing this so I thought I'd throw it out there. The two small islands in the western Fireland islands are named Sfirta and Berhodt.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the Zeai (Sea Barbarians) are still around? I recall reading about them in the Blackmoor entry for the Greyhawk gazeteer a while back but that is the first and last time I've ever come across them....

I read that the other day and was wondering the same thing.

This is just my guess, that they were probably checked somewhat in their raiding when the GK was in charge, but that all went to pot when independence was gained. So I imagine them still around, living on the Brink Islands and raiding Blackmoor.
