    just want to say that we have here the hotest day ever! some news say that it was the hottest city in the world.

    43º celcius, but feeling like 50º (for real!)

    i suppose its cold in the north, hu?

    Ontem tivemos a temperatura mais alta do planeta. Talvez em algum ponto remoto do Saara ou de Gobi a temperatura estivesse mais alta e, por falta de medição, não foi constada temperatura maior. De qualquer forma torramos à sombra. Hoje o calor da manhã indica que teremos outro dia quente, que em algumas áreas da cidade alcançará 43ºC com sensação térmica de 50ºC. Para uma cidade que é acostumada a ver geadas no inverno e temperatura de -10ºC, este calor gera muito desconforto.

    That is pretty hot, especially if humid. But that is normal at 109F in Las Vegas. One item I was down river in Laughlin and it was over 120F, or 49C. Evil Grin

    The worst I've ever hit was 50 celsius (122 fahrenheit) living in Phoenix Arizona in 1990. It was so hot that the sidewalks would melt the bottom of tennis shoes.

    The most extreame weather I've ever lived in was growing up in Logan Utah. In one year ( I think 1985?) we had -56 celsius (-70 fahenheit) at Peter Sinks in the winter and 43 celsius (110 fahenheit) in the City the same summer.
