Abysslin's Razic'Jewel, Man on Fire (Map)

Abysslin's Razic'Jewel, Man on Fire (Map)

Abysslin asked me to redo his map of Scar around 6 years ago and since then It's been sitting around on my hard drive getting push back into darker dustier corners by other newer maps I've been working on over the years.

I did email him the map back 6 years ago and then never quite knew what had become of it since. I've emailed him a couple of times over the years and even left a couple PMs with no response. No worries, I understand we all get busy and hobbies are just hobbies.

But for fear of this map totally being forgotten about, I'd like to post it. He did mention I was making a map in his article so...

Boslok: I have Abysslin's Scar article, and so far as I know it is slated for OJ #26. This is very, very long overdue, but fits the side theme of OJ #026, "Beyond the Flanaess", very well. Send me a PM if you have other Scar-related bits, as we'll want to do justice to Abysslins' efforts.

Whoa, let me know if i can help in any way. This is indeed a project that i still have on the old hard drive.

Cebrion, i still have all my writing, bosloks maps, and tedras art work.

I'm a little under the influence at the moment, but my new email is thunt452 at gmail dot com if anything is required of me.

Holy freakin' crap! That is one beautiful map! I have to say Boslok, I think you're my favorite map maker. They're true works of art.

From what I can tell Tedra did two pieces of art for the article, which I have. There a many more maps than the overview though it seems:

    "MAPS of SCAR

This is the pencil sketch of Scar. I would suggest it's use as a player map of sorts.

This particular map is done in scale rather than my preferred hex format.

And here we have it in hex

    The town of Mikel

    The town of Shar'Ikstein

All of the above maps were created by boslok-the-elder and all of the baove art were created by Tedra. I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank both Boslok and Tedra for their dedication and hard work for this project that I unfortunately could not finish. Thank you.

    - Abysslin"

It would be best to be sent everything, just to make sure I have it.

And of course we will properly credit Tedra and Boslok. :D

    Abysslin: e-mail sent to you.

I will make it a point to attempt to make time this weekend to gather everything together and send it off.

    Boslok,

Those are some incredibly nice-looking maps! Thanks for sharing them. Happy

I do have one point to make for your consideration, though. Rivers of lava make pennisulas very quickly. Your river should run the length of the Breaker Pennisula. It could still work if you add a 'dry' lava run down the penninsula and show that the lava has only recently altered course into the bay. Such a thing is realistic. Abysslin could also write such an explanation into his portion of the work.

    Abysslin,

I just read your original article on Razic 'Jewel. It is quite interesting and I am looking forward to the complete write-up in OJ #26. Smile
