What Greyhawk reprints would you buy?

As a purely hypothetical question, if Wizards of the Coast were to start offering old Greyhawk material for sale once more, what would you be interested in?

I'd go for a mix, and here's why. I'd be most interested in getting the boxed sets in "hardcover" with the maps. I'd even buy the Greyhawk Adventures book, for nostalgic reasons. But I'd still want to access the rest of the material, just not really sure I'd plunk out $20+ for a text book. I would go in ~$5 or less for a pdf though. Just my 5c.

I put "mix", because somebody forgot to include the "I would buy ALL things GH that were reprinted - pdfs and hard copies alike!" option for the more...serious GH gamer. Razz

Just to explain my own vote, I said "Print versions of new stuff only", because I own print versions of everything that's been published already, so only the new stuff would interest me.

I understand the appeal of pdfs to some folks, but give me a good, old fashioned hard copy any day.

    GG,

No problem a physical copy is always aces in my book. However, I am not adverse to having a pdf, if no hard copy is available. Pun was not intended, but it works.

One other bit: by pdfs I mean fully OCR'd older texts, or pdf conversions of the newer works, either of which are fully searchable with regards to text. A simple scanned book pdf is of little worth. Yes, somebody should put in the time and revamp the older stuff.

    I agree Cebrion,

Those pdf copies of a scanned book always annoyed me. Nothing lines up like a hard copy.

I trust by "somebody" you mean "Wizards of the Coast, who are the legal owners of the intellectual property in question". Wink

A mix of pdfs, hard copies, old, and new stuff

Happy For me I see a mixed availablity not only addresses everyones different requirements/likes, but provides... choice.

There are some older materials I would get a half dozen or so of printed and give out to my group. The PDFs, if I was able to, could be "adjusted" to fit my WoG, with a few inserts, maps, and the like added.

I find myself more of an advocate for low magic games, gritty and semirealistic... so I try to give more "plausable" explainations for certain things, even if it means using some science. Magic is still present, just not as popular and dominating.

Sorry, went off a bit... but, ah, yah... the mixed availability stuff...thingy! Happy

    Cheers Happy
