Having received my copies of Dungeon 120 and the SE Quadrant Map, I am moved once again to note the outstanding job Mr. Erik Mona has done and the great service he has provided.
Having previously been heard on this score, I think it well at this juncture to express thanks as well to Ms. Lisa Stevens of Paizo Publishing.
Ms. Stevens is the person largely responsible for Erik's hiring and the opportunity he has to work as Dungeon, and now Dragon, Editor. For this, I am most grateful and express my thanks.
Ms. Stevens is also a Greyhawker and an advocate for Greyhawk in a corporate world where there are too few true gaming fans and few of any stripe that appreciate the Grandaddy of Them All. Again, I am most grateful and express my thanks.
I would urge every Greyhawker to let Erik, Lisa and Paizo know that you appreciate what they are going.
It would not hurt to then let Hasbro's Wotc know that, in a graying RPG market, those within sighting distance of going gray are going Grey. You want older gamers dollars? Older gamers want Greyhawk.
And as for younger gamers who have found the Grey, particularly those of the RPGA who play Living Greyhawk, they too should let Wotc hear their voices.
Over the entire course of the history of AD&D and D&D there has been only one constant. There has been only one unkillable, Lazarus setting. It was the first. It remains the best. Greyhawk.
Rejoice in the maps. Darker times are coming before we will see this type of support again.
