No confirmation email after creating Canonfire account?

Hello, Canonfire!

I'm an old-time fan of Greyhawk (played in junior high and high school in the 80's, as well as Living Greyhawk in the 2000's). I'm now trying to get my son and his friends into Greyhawk by running some old 1st edition modules modified for 5th edition. Now that I'm DM'ing for the first time, I'd like to join your community and tap into the great resources and experience that all of you have with Greyhawk.

The problem is, I filled out the web form to create a new user account on Canonfire, and it said, "OerthScribe, please check the following information. If all is correct you can proceed with the registration by clicking on "Finish" button, otherwise "Go Back" and change whatever information is needed." I clicked "Finish," but I have not received the "confirmation email" that it said would come within the next 24 hours.

Does anyone know if Canonfire is still taking new members? Is the server down, perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer!

The username "OerthScribe" was registered in 2004, so it is already taken. That is likely why your registration didn't go through. Try registering again using a new, less common (word-wise), user name. It could be a completely nonsense username, just for registration purposes. If you are still unable to login after trying again, private message me with your new username and e-mail, and I'll send you a new password for the account. I can also change the username if you wish, just so long as the username you want is not already taken.

Thanks, Cebrion, for the quick reply.
(Sorry, I forgot to go back and check this thread over the weekend.)

Turns out the "OerthScribe" who registered back in 2004 was me :) I registered way back then using a comcast email address that is now defunct. But fortunately, I was able to find an old email (in a related account) that had the password I had originally used to signup, and voila! I was able to login just now with the original account.

Thanks again for the helpful reply!

Welcome back! Glad you found the email/password, and happy posting! Happy

In the event anybody else comes to this thread with a similar problem, simply PM me (so far as I know, Guests can do this) with your email and username, and I can reset your password and email it to you.
