I’m developing pre-Wars Mowbrenn for a visit by my PCs, and I have a couple of queries about the status quo prior to The Marklands:
- Cunal Huldane’s mother is never mentioned in The Marklands (or later), leading me to believe she died when he was young. Cunal was born in 561 CY. Does anyone have a theory as to when she may have died? I’m thinking she must’ve been an Ehlonnan, and Cunal takes after her, since Blackmar seems to be a not-especially-pious Pholtan. She must’ve lived long enough to instill that faith in Cunal, so at least early 570s, I think.
- When do folks think Quarlanth wormed his way into Blackmar’s court? I posit it was after Blackmar’s wife died, when he would’ve been vulnerable, but no later than the end of the 570s, so that Quarlanth would be a trusted advisor during the Wars.
