    My Blackmoor/WL PbP games! *Rolecall*

If there is evil in this world,
It lurks in the hearts of men. -Edward D. Morrison

    Greetings, Brave Adventurer!

A Grim Winter has fallen over the lands of the Bitter North, as valiant heroes and vile foes fight for the control over the once so beautiful lands called the Duchy of Ten!

While the troops of Blackmoor and Vestfold march on against the cannibal Afridhi, two small bands of rogues and mercenaries travel through the battered lands of the West, following their quests that might come to determine the outcome of this lethal conflict...

If you want to come to the rescue of poor Ten's helpless citizens, and join our brave heroes in their perilous attempts to free the lands of men from Toska Russa's iron grip, then read on carefully...

Visit the one big Blackmoor – PbP game over at www.dablackmoor.com and become part of the legend!

The Grim Winter - The Company of the Maiden

    Running since December 2005

During a particularly stormy autum night of the year 1031, a small group of adventurers finds doubtful shelter at the Maiden's Rest Inn, somewhere deep in the dark fenns that cover the coasts of Ten to the lands of civilised men.
It's the night of the Spirit Eave, and soon the dead come out of their graves to claim the souls of the living...

But the visitors from the inn, among them Sven and Erdath, two warriors of Cumasti origin, Path, a ghostly, shapeshifting human, the halfling Jigimyand and the dwarven priestess Draussa fiercely defend their lives at all costs, but at a dire price:

With its dying words, a child-like spectre of the night curses them to never find their peace...

Battered and traumatized after the horrors of the autumn, the party, accompanied by the mercenary leader Rowell and his men, decides to continue their travel to the small town of Silverbell, their original place of destination...

Tale a look if you dare...

    The War of the Thieves

    Running since March 2006

The thieves guild of Blackmoor and the Brothers of the Greenwood have united their forces to explore The Lost City, a haunted place somewhere at the borders of the known world...

From their headquarter at the ruins of what is believed to have been an old tannery, a small group sets out for a nightly patrol...

But neither the thieves nor the Brothers have counted with the possibility that whatever lurks on the cursed city could already have been expecting them...

Take a look if you dare...

    Basic Gaming Rules

1.The games aren't particularly slow any more. Posting two or three times a week isn't required, but a regular internet connection would be helpful. Lesser attendance to the game can be accepted if the other players agree, but you might end up missing a lot of the fun.

2.Atmosphere comes first, rules come second. I as the DM interpret the rules, and I do all the rolls. If I decide a rule doesn’t apply or an action comes out in another way than the desired one, then no discussion, please.

3.Since this game is based partly on home-brewed material, but also borrows from popular published modules, I advise my players not to read or play the following gaming materials:
    - The Lost City of Gaxmoor by Troll Lord Games.
    - Haunted Sites, a netbook compiled by the legendary Kargatane.
    - Into the Dragon's Lair, by Wizards of the Coast.
    - Lost Empires of Faerun, by Wizards of the Coast.

4.The world in which the games are set is based upon Dave Arneson's Blackmoor and the FFC, but not identical to it, so expect many minor differences in question to historical developments and geographical and political circumstances.
The game assumes the existence of the Wilderlands of High Fantasy somewhere to the southwest, and you may pick a “Judges Guild” character background if you desire so.

    How to Join the Game

If this little descriptions have sparkled your interest, just contact me at the PbP-Boards over at www.dablackmoor.com, or write me directly to Rollenspieler.Enklave@web.de!
BTW, if you lurk, don't bother to comment or to simply say *hello* over at the Grim Winter OOC-Chat!

The system we have used so far is d20, but from now on, and since this has proved to work, I will accept characters from any older editions of D&D, as well as Castles & Crusades.

I hope at least some of you dare to cross the snowy borders to the North and challenge their fate...

    Yours,

    Rafael

I got the impression that the online board was reserved for Greyhawk related stuff only, so I put it here.

This add is already pretty old, so, when I put up a new one, I'll post it over where you said. Smile

BTW, anyone willing to join? Wink
