On the Drow of the Flanaess: History, Culture and Nation

I'm surprised and somewhat disappointed that this article was rated so poorly by its readers. Why was it rated so poorly? I thought it detailled very well many aspects of drow society and life, and also played with the common interpretation of drow, making them so irredemably perverted and evil-and proud of it-that it effectively nipped in the bud any possibility of a Greyhawk Drizzt Do'Urden or Eilistraee.

So, what were your thoughts on the article?

Personally, I enjoyed the article too. I suspect that most readers rated it poorly perhaps because they wanted to see a more practical side of the Drow. Exactly when do they come out, if ever? Who are their enemies and exactly to what extent does the the war, if any, extend between the Drow and the races above ground? Maybe folks wanted more of a taste with religion? Maybe folks just wanted more detail? I apologize for the pedestrian musings, but it's a stab. Wink

Perhaps it was the heretical Drizz't reference. D'oh! I just referenced it! Shocked

I found the article very entertaining. Plus, I also like EEG references too. Eclavdra is no Lolth lacky. Bad Epic Handbook! Bad!!!
