Future of the Castle of the Mad Archmage

    Hey,

There's a blog regarding the Castle of the Mad Archmage and if Joe should finish making it. If you're interested, it's at:

I'd love to see him finish what Gary didn't.

Thanks for the heads up, Raymond. I've been enjoying the Castle of the Mad Archmage for a while now, and it's a pity he may not finish it. Sure, it's very bare-bones, but it includes a lot of research and it's very easy to digest and run. Frankly, I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more discussion on these boards.

I was wondering where the latest was - while not regular they were still coming reasonably frequently.

    I'm Surprised Too

Yes, I'm surprised as well. I think Joe didn't feel like many people were interested so he hasn't had a lot of incentive to finish. It's not a small project. I really like what I've seen of it. I'm thinking of doing something but based on the first Basic box's Skull Mountain but I haven't gotten farther than some mapping which needs to be re-done.

In fact, years ago I found a web site which listed all the TSR fonts. I see it's still up at:

    http://www.geocities.com/rgfdfaq/tsrfonts.html

But back to the Castle--I'm still wondering if Joe is planning on putting in a giant bowling alley and those other things reported to have been in Gary's castle.

Based on our last discussions, Joe'll be using every last scrap of Castle campaign he can get his hands on, I'm sure :D

It also sounds like Joe'll be continuing the Castle's development for awhile, which is great news: he does excellent work!
