    robilar travel to china with...

i was reading ta text from wikipedia about teh casle greyhawk, and then i found a link to a text about Castle Greyhawk by gary:

Gygax, Gary (April 1975). "How to set up your Dungeons & Dragons campaign - and be stuck refereeing it seven days a week until the wee hours of the morning!". Europa (Walter Luc Haas) (6-8): 18-20. http://www.whiningkentpigs.com/DW/oldzines/europa6-8.pdf. Retrieved

this text have a reference on how robilar AND friends went to china and so.
    who were these friends?
i mean, were they "real people", or henchman (otto and quij)?

(oh, and my head hurts by reading this pre-computer technology paper Laughing)

If I remember the story correctly, Rob Kuntz (as Robilar) reached the lowest level of the Castle Greyhawk dungeons and was sent down a slide to China. Ernie Gygax (as Tenser?) and Terry Kuntz (as Terik) separately went in search of the missing Robilar, also reached the bottom level, and were likewise transported to China. All three later returned home via flying carpet, with side treks along the way.

I think the story was in the Dragon Annual #2. It was Robilar, Tenser, and Terik.

Some additional recountings of this are in Gary's latter-day "Up on a Soapbox" articles; summaries @ http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/gh_castle_sources_soapbox.html
