Need a bit of background on the ceding of the Cairn Hills Marches by the Duchy Of Urnst to Greyhawk. All I've currently got to go on is the detail in the LG Gazeteer, which is pretty brief, and can't find any other information elsewhere; looking at Anna's map of the area it would seem to encompass a long, but very narrow, corridor of land running from Maure Castle up to the Nyr Dyv with a spur branching off east following the line of the hills.
If anyone knows of any more information that would be excellent; if not, I'll do it myself .
I haven't found anything about Cairn Hills Marches going through my sources.
So I agree with Mystic-Scholar, we have to wait for the real experts to come to the rescue!
But during my research I came a cross two of me missed places in Duchy of Urnst, Delagos Caverns and the Village of Kalifane. Had to move Sete a bit north on the road towards Molk. So thanks alot for your help :)
Are we talking about the territory that was ceded to Greyhawk by the Duchy of Urnst in 584 CY? If so, I believe the From the Ashes campaign book and map are the original sources.

How did I miss that??????
That's the beauty of Greyhawk I suppose; when you decide to start a new campaign in a different location you find out all kinds of things that you missed while your attention was elsewhere.
Anna, the maps are fantastic; a real inspiration for an old timer like myself as well as a new player like my son who is starting off a campaign where the hills meet the Nyr Dyv.
As long as you refrain from reading the actual adventure you'll be fine. If you want to continue having faith in role-playing, that is.
I am surprised Paizo did not sell at music cd to accompany the adventure path and listed cues in the reading. I am dead serious when I say that tournament modules have more open-endedness than an adventure path from Paizo does.
There is a small chance I'll plunge into my cupboard of old supplements and never be heard from again, however.
It seems that GH has taken over the administration of the Eastern Cairn Hills and gives 20% (cough )of the mineral haul to Urnst. I wonder how much manpower GH could spare to patrol and secure the area. This is an interesting twist to what I had planned and adds a political element to a new campaign which was going to be all about exploration for a new player in the wilds of the hills. After a while I'd planned to drop hints about the "Big City Of Thieves" to the West but this development allows some foreshadowing with appearances by militia. It will also cause conflict in the village where my player lives; possible resistance to the new authority?
Unlike some other posters, I enjoyed the Age of Worms series immensely. At the very least, you could mine these issues for map content, NPCs, and other ideas, even if you have no intention of using the adventures. Most of the Cairn Hills material was in the earlier issues; I don't have them handy right now unfortunately.
Also there's Doomgrinder, a module which was not my particular taste, but again had some really nice maps and interesting encounters/NPCs outside the main plot of the adventure.
Unfortunately I don't have the AOW editions having given up on Dungeon Magazine by that time.
I have got Doomgrinder and it's the complete opposite of the type of adventure I like to run but the maps and background info I will mine and bend to my will. I believe that AOW was a bit "world shakery" in its plot as well; give me a module that you can add details and complications to over one that you need to tone down anyday.
Thanks for the reminder about Doomgrinder though(plunges back into the supplement cupboard).
