    Looking good!

    I like the new layout of the site so far MS, and thank you for changing how the links work for the Wiki, and the comic.

    Keep up the good work, and hang in there!

    I'm digging the new look! Smile My only criticism is that page isn't scaling itself. I had to run my display settings down to 1280 x 960 to get it to fit, which is way too small for my poor old eyes. Otherwise I have to side-scroll, which is a major pain. I suspect it's the static-size of the banner image that's doing it. Thanks, guys!

    I agree that side-scrolling is an irritation. If it can be fixed from the Canonfire end, that would be great! Smile

    Sorry guys. That's something we did "here."

    Our "old" pixel width was 998. Those of us in the decision making process all have a pixel width of over 1300 on our computers. Therefore, we deliberated widened the screen to 1200 pixels.

    Anyone having problems needs to go here:

    http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com/

    Determine the pixel width of your computer screen and let me know in this forum. My pixel width is 1366 x 768. the first number is your width, the second is your height. Wink

    Sorry if you're having trouble. Let us know what you width is and we'll see if we can readjust. And remember, older computers are going to have some trouble with this.

    Our apologies again.

    I'm looking at the source code and I think if you change the size attributes to a % instead of a static width that the image will auto-size for people's browsers.

    Current - <img src="themes/Canonfire/images/cfheader.jpg" style="width:1200px;height:140px;border-bottom:1px solid black;">

    So try changing the tag to -

    <img src="themes/Canonfire/images/cfheader.jpg" style="width:100%;border-bottom:1px solid black;">

    and that might fix it. It's been awhile since I've done web design so I can't guarantee this will work, but it may be worth a shot.

    If that doesn't work you should be able to change it to just -

    <img src="themes/Canonfire/images/cfheader.jpg" width="100%">

    I'm not sure what the rest of that style attribute does; the border bottom part, but you can probably get by without it.

    Woohoo, I did it! Happy

    My settings were 1064 x 768, but the link told me exactly how to change it. Only problem is that the width is now a bit scrunched, so people with sight problems will have more trouble viewing the pages if you leave it at 1200 x whatever.

    Sir Xaris,

    Click on "Account." Once there, click on the little square box that says "Themes."

    In there, you should be able to adjust the Canonfire! page setting to fit your screen. Gary's been working on that today.

    Give it a try and let me know.

    (My signature should be blank right now, but it's still got this screwed up thing down below. Something's wonkers.) Mad

    CFnarrow worked like a charm after I returned my display settings back to 1024 x 768.

    The problem I'm still having is that it won't allow me to import an avatar from my own hard drive. I used an avatar from the CF gallery to see if that would work, and it did, but still can't import my own with the option, "Use an avatar from your own machine."

    Sorry, Sir Xaris. Seems to be some sort of glitch.

    My "signature" should be blank -- I erased it trying to do something else. As you can see, it's not blank.

    It's being worked on, just give a few days. We're still trying to figure out what's wrong.

    Thanks and sorry again.

    (Edit) Got it! And don't ask me how, because I did it "by accident." Laughing

    But my signature is back! Evil Grin

    Hahahahahahaha!

    See? Laughter . . . from the Good Side!
