    OJ 16 - Jan 15, 2005 update

OK, hopefully good news thiis time around. I connected with one of the primary authors a week ago, which was apparently something I should've done earlier, since it turned out he was under the impression he hadn't finished his article. I've gotten finished pieces of it this week, and expect the rest over the next few days. Our illustrator most importantus, Ron Carey, has done a few cover mockups that I really like, and are pretty simple (I think), so production time on that should be very quick. I wasn't deliberately delaying for graphics, but it looks like I'll be able to have them.

I intend to put together what I have and format the entire Journal in the next week, which will make inserting the remainder of the last article pretty simple. One of the Very Important People here at CF! has possibly promised me an additional article asap, so we'll see if that shows up (but I won't wait for it), and another Very Important Person has sort-of, kind-of, maybe promised a map, which would be very useful for this last article.

    Nell,
Unfortunately, the article we discussed won't be ready anywhere near in time for last minute entry into #16. Just went back to work after having some downtime after the car wreck, so time is tight and I need to finish and revise the article before submitting. OJ will get the article, just not in time for #16.

Hope that doesn't cause any major problems.

Chat - Not a problem for me! I know ALL about having to put work over play, however important that play might be to your well-being and sanity (and I'm not really kidding here). My wife bought me an evening season ski pass this year, and I haven't been once. :-(

That's changing really really soon, though, I promise that.

    Cheers
    Nell.

This month, assuming what I've done passes inspection. More than that I will not say.

    :)
    Nell.
