    Ravages of the Mind

I've heard tell of an unpublished Len Lakofka module called Ravages of the Mind. Does anyone have any more information on this? Is it available somewhere? Will it be? What's it about?

    RIP Lenard Lakofka

One of the greats, the originals, Lenard Lakofka has passed away yesterday, 10/23/2020. We'll miss him. He helped run some of the early GenCons. He collaborated with Gary Gygax. He's the father of Lendore. Many will also remember him from his Tiny Hut piece in Dragon mag.

Being in Chicago, he couldn't make it out to Lake Geneva too often, but he collaborated a lot with Gary, with a lot of uncredited work in material like the PHB and DMG. Len was fiercely loyal to Gary and when Gary was ousted from TSR, Len was also done with them. As Len liked to say, Greyhawk is only what was published until Gary left.

Despite that, Len continued to publish the L-series (L4 and L5), which you can find on Dragonsfoot (https://www.dragonsfoot.org/) along with details of Len's campaign. He also has a completed Ratik module known as The Ravages of the Mind which his friends played at CafCon 2019, and an L6 that was in development with Jay Scott and Anna Meyer. He has tons of other work he would freely offer up to the community.

He had been a regular on Jay and Anna's twitch shows, talking about Greyhawk and D&D. They're archived on youtube, here's an example:

I have a high-level play summary from Virtual GreyhawkCon 3 on my blog at https://grodog.blogspot.com/2022/10/grodogs-virtual-greyhawk-con-3-report.html

    Thanks, Allan,

I hope this scenario gets published or becomes available at some point, along with L6 & whatever else he left behind.

You're welcome, hopefully it's some useful context.

That's the plan, as I understand it.

Perhaps an update on the current status of LL manuscripts and publishing would be a good topic for an upcoming Gabbin' or L&L show. I'll ping the crew to see if they think so!
