The first version of Lo Nakar, which is not substantially different from this, predated the "Suel colony" articles by several years (and was first posted on the AOL boards). They're variant visions of Oerth -- I don't consider myself bond to follow other people's interpretations, nor should they bind themselves to mine.
I agree, though -- this was always meant as an overview, and never a detailed examination of Lo Nakar
