    Normally, I use all of detail only when (1) the book is important; (2) the book is in the signature library IMC (modelled after the monastic library in The Name of the Rose by Umbereto Ecco) or (3) the players are dealing with an antiquarian bookdealer. I have one player whose character is an inveterate book collector. For that PC, forget dungeons; they want to raid lost libraries etc. Other PCs have gotten the bug to lesser degrees.
