Twiceborn, wow! I appreciate all the feedback. It is from a very objectional point of view and exactly the type of comments I wish more people would adhere to.

    Let me adress them.

Regarding Climate: I just recently learnt of our Earth's Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland type climates from a recent issue of National Geographic, which I suscribe to.

These lands are warmer due to the under current of the Atlantic "run." The deep depths of the Atlantic carry warm waters North from the Southern loop, near Cuba and Puerto Rico. When these waters meet Iceland and said areas, they come to the top and warm the area (winds included), and head back to the South.

I did infact take this into account, but thought Valkemf's area of the Solnor to work differently. I envisioned it to work more like the far north-eastern ends of Asia, above the Bering Strait, across from Alaska. Thus, the very cold and desolate climate.

Regarding Penguins and Daylight hours: I concede to your thoughts of daylight and penguins among the wildlife, deffinately and undersight on my part.

Regarding Valuables: The view I had hoped to portray in my writing was one of an absolutely mundane lifestyle. One where nothing is taken for granted and any sort of items considered to be artistic or valuable are very, very rare.

Regarding a hint of lawful society: I agree with yoor thoughts on this issue 100%, unfortunately I didn't want to touch on it much. I view the Valkemf Cruskii as avoiding any polotics if they possibly can. Ofcourse this is an entirely different subject than the "unwritten" laws or codes of their people.

Regarding Tribes and Clans: I probably should have lingered on this topic abit more. I would assume 3-5 clans make up a tribe. Elaborating on this issue would have led me into many others though, such as marriage, heritage, and tribal happenings. I wanted to keep this article focused on the province as a whole, rather than break it down into that sort of depth.

Honestly, with the article weighing in at 5k words, I thought that to be abit too long already and was in fear of people shying away from reading it by seeing it's somewhat large volume.

Regarding Trade: I only touched on primary trades of the region. I'm sure they do some trade with the Bandit Kingdoms as well as port trade ships in Rel Astra or the Sea Barons rarely, but this would be on a much grander scale and done more by Glot or the other provinces, in my view.

Valkemf is much more focused on mines and logging projects than foreign trade. So in effect, I had envisioned most foreign goods being acquired by trade with the other provinces within the nation rather than through 1st hand trade.

Regarding Races: Yup, story. I envisioned the orcs and ogres of the nearby mountains falling prey to the trolls, giants, and other denizens of the area. This in turn led them to leave the mountains and apprehensively take place beside the humans of the nation. So, by common enemy, these races have taken to living tolerably beside one another to a certain extent. Please keep in mind this would most likely have taken a few centuries to work its way up to its current level and the orc, ogre populations are primarly half-breeds and make-up a very small fraction of the populace.

I'm glad you liked the ale and will be taking some of my article into consideration with regards to your campaign. That's why I write.
