Banigata Joc's gambling hall is bright and clean. He tolerates no cheats, but is happy to pay off winners himself. The game is what is important to Banigata and he frowns on excessive drinking in his modest casino.

Banigata Joc's Golden Palace has the usual array of poker games, blackjack tables, and craps tables. But it is the odd games with foreign flavor that bring new gamblers to his place, and keep them coming back. Those and, of course, his sterling reputation for honesty.

DWARFCRACKER
A favorite among Gnomes and Elves, this dice game is a House favorite.

The House Croupier always picks up the two dice. He then passes the dice to the next Shooter, who bets blind. After the shooter puts out his gold, the other players at the table place side bets on the outcome of the roll. At a sign from the Croupier, the Shooter rolls the dice. If any side bet wins, it pays 3 to 2.

The Shooter's payoff is as follows:

A roll of 2: The Shooter loses and has to pass the dice to the next shooter.

A roll of 3, 4, or 5: The Shooter's bet rides and he rerolls. Side bets payoff and new ones are made.

A roll of 6: The Shooter recoups his bet and has to pass the dice.

A roll of 7: The Shooter is paid 2 to 1, and shoots again.

A roll of 8: The Shooter recoups his bet and has to pass the dice.

A roll of 9: The Shooter is paid 2 to 1, but must pass the dice.

A roll of 10: The Shooter looses, but can place a new bet and shoot again.

A roll of 11: The Shooter is paid 2 to 1, but must pass the dice.

A roll of 12: The Shooter looses his bet to the next player instead of the House, and gets to shoot again.



WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Several of these double wheels are scattered around the Golden Palace. Each one has been handcrafted by Banigata Joc himself, and each is perfectly balanced and stands in an upright position with a mithral pointer at the top to show the success, or failure, of each spin.

The Wheelman takes the Spinner's bet, then allows the player to spin the large Outer Wheel. This Outer wheel is divided into twelve divisions.
The twelve divisions of the Outer Wheel are as follows:

1. Out Of Luck: The Spinner loses.

2. Skin Of The Teeth: The Spinner's bet rides and he spins again.

3. Fortune Nods: The Spinner is paid 3 to 2.

4. Blind Luck: Spin inner wheel!

5. Bad Luck: The Spinner loses.

6. Charity: The Spinner recoups his bet, the next player steps up.

7. Rotten Luck: The Spinner loses.

8. Fortune Smiles: The Spinner is paid 2 to 1.

9. Fool's Luck: The Spinner"s bet rides and he spins again.

10. Out Of Luck: The Spinner loses.

11. Hand Out: The Spinner looses, but Banigata Joc pays for your dinner.

12. Beginner's Luck: The Spinner is paid 5 to 4.

If the Spinner gets the chance to spin the Inner Wheel, he can also increase his initial bet by any amount. The payoff of the Inner Wheel is thus:
1. The Spinner is paid 3 to 1.
2. The Spinner loses.
3. The Spinner is paid 4 to 3.
4. The Spinner is paid 2 to 1.
5. The Spinner is paid 2 to 1.
6. The Spinner is paid 3 to 2.
7. The Spinner loses.
8. Charity: The Spinner recoups his bet, the next player steps up.

Any winning spin, unless otherwise noted, means the Spinner can bet and spin again. Any losing spin, unless otherwise noted, means the Spinner must step away.



PAIRS

Proprietor Joc's favorite card game is called Pairs.

The House dealer takes bets from the Players at his table, up to five Players can play at each table.
One card is dealt face up to each Player.
Players can now Increase their bets if they choose.
Another card is dealt to each Player in turn until one Player has a pair. The Dealer now gathers all bets into a Pot.
Each pair of the possible thirteen pays differently.

Aces: The Player holding the pair takes the whole Pot, and the House matches it.

Dueces: The Player holding the pair and the House split the Pot.

Threes: The House takes the Pot.

Fours: The House takes the Pot.

Fives: The House and all Players but the holder of the pair split the Pot.

Sixes: The House doubles the size of the Pot and all Players split it.

Sevens: The Player holding the pair and the House split the Pot.

Eights: The House takes the Pot.

Nines: The Player holding the pair takes the whole Pot.

Tens: The Player holding the pair and the House split the Pot.

Jacks: The Player holding the pair gets nothing, The House pays the value of the Pot to all other players.

Queens: The Player holding the pair wins the Pot and the House pays double that value on top of that to him.

Kings: The House takes the Pot.



HEAVEN AND EARTH

Banigata Joc's customers are fascinated by this simple game of twelve gold coins.

Four of these coins have a sygil representing the Heavens, four have a sygil representing Mortals, and the last four have a sigyl representing the Earth. The Coiner holds the twelve coins in an ivory cup and takes the Thrower's bet. The Thrower then takes the cup, shakes it and tosses the coins upon the playing table. The Coiner then places all coins that landed face up into rows with their fellows. The top row will have any face up Heaven coins; the middle row will have any face up Mortal coins; the bottom row will have any face up Earth coins.
Each row will be empty, have an odd number, or an even number.
The combinations pay off as follows.
