"In delving the secrets of tomes recovered from the ruins being plundered at the hands of profiteering 'archaelogists' from the Yeomanry, I kept coming across the name Zaliira in accounts of Suloise legal procedure. Having not been introduced to this name before, I began to expand my research, and enlisted the aid of the esteemed sage, Shiara Ferlalt of Archer's Bluff, a local expert on Suloise Religion in the latter years of the Imperium. I turn the podium over now to Shiara, to explain our findings."

The goddess Zaliira was a popular and loved figure in the ancient Suel empire, her clergy being an important part of the legal system and sought after as advisors and ambassadors by the nobility. After the coming of the Rain of Colorless fire, the clergy declined for two reasons, first, they denounced the suel attack on the baklunish, and proclaimed the RoCF as fitting justice for such a barbaric attack. This view, although that of their Goddess, was extremely unpopular among the survivors. This led to some of Zaliira's followers softening their sermons and even ignoring the devine edicts and preaching that the Suel people should seek justice against their attackers. Zaliira became enraged and denied many of her followers their spells, which futher led to their decline. Now, Zaliira has only a handful of active followers in the Flanaess, and she has grown bitter and reclusive among the Suel gods, which pleases Wee Jas, who felt threatened by her daughter encroaching into her law domain in years past and is happy to have her domains secure again.

Seek the truth in the maze of lies. Be ever vigilant against misdirection and illusion. Punish the spreaders of falsehoods, and aid in the distribution of justice to those who defy law, be it mortal or divine.

Zaliira's followers are few, and are always of Suel descent, though Half-Elves and Half-Orcs are not unknown. Clerics must be LN, the 3e rule 'one step' alignment rule for clerics does not apply. The clergy serve as clerks or judges in courts of law, and are sometimes recruited as aides to nobles or merchants who are in need of their abilities to see through lies and detect the true motives of others.

Garb: Zaliirans often wear hooded cloaks of dark grey felt, adding leather blinders and muzzle like contraptions to 'clarify their senses' during divinations or rituals. Zaliira's holy symbol is a disk of clear glass wrapped in a band of brass.
