Canonfire!

In my old notes from a few campaigns ago, I have numerous references to one Sunmote, a solar in the service of Pelor.

Question: Did I make up this character? or is he derived from a specific source and, if so, what is it?

In my memories of AD&D 1, the only source where a Solar appears is the end of WG6 Isle of the Ape with a fight against an arcanadaemon.
A DUNGEON adventure?

My notes were from a 3e campaign, so I was wondering if maybe Sunmote came from a Dungeon or Dragon magazine.

The planar ally detailed in "Core Beliefs: Pelor" in Dragon #346 is Noonfeather, a celestial giant eagle.

Complete Divine does state that Pelor uses a solar as his herald, but doesn't name them.
