Using international postal codes to track movie locations?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently gotten really into exploring filming locations from movies, especially ones shot in different countries, and I started wondering—has anyone ever tried organizing or tagging them by international postal codes?

It seems like it could be a really cool way to build a searchable map of famous (or obscure) scenes, especially for film fans who like to travel and visit those spots in real life. I know there are databases for filming locations, but they often focus on city names or vague regions. I found more info on https://www.geopostcodes.com/ . Postal codes might make things more precise—or maybe more complicated?

If anyone has worked on something like this or has thoughts about whether it would be useful (or just a logistical nightmare), I’d love to hear your ideas. Especially curious if anyone has tried combining postal data with GPS coordinates to really pinpoint things.

Thanks in advance! Razz
