Food Taboos of the Flanaess

The topic of food taboos came up in Greytalk, and I came up with the following.
Oeridians
The Oeridians do not eat pig in any form due to the resemblance to euroz (orcs). However, they do hunt pig for sport, due to the resemblance to euroz. A good wild boar hunt is always fun, but the carcass is left for the dogs.
Suloise
The Suel do not eat toothed whales due to their association with Osprem. No dolphins or sperm whales for them. The Suel will, however, hunt and eat baleen whales. They greatly prefer predatory sea creatures, the bigger and more dangerous the better. The sole exception is barracuda, which is avoided like toothed whales because of the association with Osprem. They love shark, most rays, eels, squid, and octopus. It is rumored this extends to sahuagin, ixitxachitl, and anguilians. It is even hinted that some Suel-descended communities in the Pearl Sea will eat kopru. None of this is proven in the Flanaess, but is almost certainly true.
Baklunish
The Baklunish do not eat fowl, associating them with vultures. Even the most harmless songbird is considered to harbor a desire for carrion. The Baklunish even eschew falconry for this reason, not trusting the best trained bird to avoid turning on them.
Flannae
The Flan have a strong taboo against uncooked and spoiled meat, associating it with the kell (gnolls). While they may resort to such in exremis, they consider it the first step on the path to becoming a wendigo or ghoul. They extend this to preserved meat. Anything not eaten within two days of being killed is generally destroyed by incineration and not even given to the dogs. However, this only applies to the meat of mammals. Fish and fowl are considered suitable for preservation, and dried salmon, trout, and turkey are staples of winter and travel fare.
