It was my understanding that these were FR modules, particularly dealing with the Moonshae Isles.

I don't think so, since they use actual Celtic gods, while the Moonshaes don't. FR itself has a few ...

I find that you can find tons of older roleplaying books at used bookstores. In Edmonton, AB, there is a chain of bookstores called the Wee Book Inn that buys and sells used books exclusively.

MM 4 is by far the worst monster book I've ever seen or read. It is a horrible book with little to no real flavor to it. I didn't buy it.

MM 5 is a lot better for your money, IMO.

I just downloaded Issue 23 and I have to say that I'm quite impressed. It appears to be as good as anything I've seen in DRAGON Magaziine just from skimming it.
