Is there any official prestigeclasses for the Greyhawk Setting? There must be official prestigeclasses for Gnarley Forrest Rangers, Order of the Hart, Knight of Furuondy
I can't anderstand why there isn't any. The basic rules are set in the GH setting
PLease post them. WE need more content here anyway - and there are plenty of folks who come here now, or will in the future that could benefit, but might not post a request.
Thanks,
ROB

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier
Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Gnarley Ranger.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Ranger of the Gnarley Forest is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, light armor, medium armor, and shields. Note that armor check penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tum
ble. Also, Swim checks suffer a -1 penalty for every 5 pounds of armor or equipment carried.
Favored Enemy: At 1st level, a Ranger of the Gnarley Forest may select a type of creature (usually giants, humanoids [goblin or orc] or monstrous humanoids) as a favored enemy. Due to the extensive study of these foes and training in the proper techniques for combating them, the ranger gains a +2 bonus to Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Wilderness Lore checks when using these skills against this type of creature. Likewise, the ranger adds +1d6 to damage rolls against creatures of this type. A ranger also gets this damage bonus with ranged weapons, but only against targets within 30 feet (the ranger cannot strike with deadly accuracy beyond that range). This damage bonus doesn’t apply to creatures immune to critical hits and is not multiplied on a critical hit. The ranger must also be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach a vital spot. A ranger does not gain this damage bonus when striking a target with concealment (see Table 8-10: Concealment, p133, PHB) or striking the limbs of creatures whose vitals are beyond reach.
At 5th level , the ranger may select a new favored enemy, and the bonuses associated with each favored enemy increase by +2 for skill checks and the die for damage rolls increases to +2d6.
If the Gnarley Ranger already has favored enemy as a class skill, these bonuses are added to any the character already has.
Refer to Table 3-14: Ranger Favored Enemies, p45, PHB, for a list of possible favored enemies.
Bonus Languages: Rangers of the Gnarley Forest speak some Druidic in addition to any other languages. This secret language is normally known only to druids, but through their dealings with them, the Gnarley Rangers have managed to decipher part of it. When attempting to communicate in Druidic, a Gnarley Ranger must make an Innuendo check with his Gnarley Ranger level as a bonus to the check. Druidic has its own alphabet.
Nature Sense: A Gnarley Ranger can identify plants and animals (their species and special traits) with perfect accuracy. The Gnarley Ranger can determine whether water is safe to drink or dangerous.
Woodland Stride: Starting at 2nd level, a Gnarley Ranger may move through natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain at his or her normal speed and without suffering damage or other impairment. However, thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that are enchanted or magically manipulated to impede motion still affect the ranger.
Trackless Step: Starting at 3rd level, a Gnarley Ranger leaves no trail in natural surroundings and cannot be tracked.

Class Features:
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A knight is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, light and medium armor, and shields.
Request Aid: At 1st level, a knight receives a tabard and standard which advertise his affiliation. A knight can request “reasonable” aid (a small amount of provisions, shelter for the night, etc.) from any other member of the Order of the Hart without fear of refusal. Larger (or more dangerous) requests are adjudicated by the DM.
Stipend: At 2nd level, a knight begins receiving a small stipend of 3 gp per week.
Royal Audience: At 3rd level, a knight’s reputation is such that he may request an audience with a ruler and expect a favorable response (as determined by the DM).
Protection from Evil: At 4th level, a knight undergoes a ritual which formally charges him with the defense and best interests of Veluna. Thereafter he radiates an aura of protection from evil (see the protection from evil spell in the Player’s Handbook). This upgrades to Magic Circle Against Evil at 5th level.

There are few "official" Greyhawk prestige classes, as Greyhawk is no longer really an "officially" supported campaign setting. There were a few prestige classes touted as being of Greyhawk origin, namely the "Knight Protector(of the Great Kingdom)" and the "Temple Raider of Olidamarra", and also the Warmage base class is given a Greyhawk reference in its sidebar. I am probably forgetting a few others no doubt.
That being said, I have unsatisfied with the lack of "Greyhawk-esque" prestige classes, or simply with many of the prestige classes in general. There are some well written and interesting ones to be sure, but I would rather something different. Rather than pound the square peg of many prestige classes into the round hole of Greyhawk, I have begun writing some prestige classes specifically for Greyhawk. To begin with are the knightly orders (all of them! ), but will expand into other groups as well.
I am not somebody who believes in 1,000 prestige classes, but I do like ones that fit the campaign well, whether they are generic enough to do so by design, or are specifically created for the World of Greyhawk. To that end, I'll be writing about a dozen of them. I think that some of the quasi-deities are really good candidates for having a prestige class dedicated to them and their followers. Zagyg is an obvious choice, as is Kelanen, Azor'Alq, and Murlynd- basically those immortal personages who might have followers (represented by a prestige class) but not necessarily have clerics/druids. _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -
LGJ is the Living Greyhawk Journal, roughly circulated through 2000-4, making occasional appearances in Dragon in various forms. It highlighted various areas in GH as well as few tidbits like PrC's, monsters, news from the regions and whatnot. I'm sure there is someone on the lists who can give you a more detailed accounting of what was included in all of those LGJ's both the mailed ones (there were 5 mailed direct too RPGA members and one if you went to Gen Con 01) before they were a semi-regular feature in Dragon and Dungeon (sometimes), which you might be able to track down on Paizo's site here. _________________ Canonfire Community Supporter and Forum Justicar
