The political wranglings of the Principality of Ulek

Hello all
I was just curious on other peoples thoughts on the political/religious/legal workings of the Principality of Ulek. You have the Prince, but how much power does he have? Absolute? Does he have elected or appointed advisors? Is there a nation-wide legal system, or would each province have its own laws? Is the judicial system run by a particular faith, (for eg St. Cuthbert or Rao) or is it more a 'diety-neutral' legal system? Is the military run by the church of Heironeous? Ive just been fleshing out these areas for my home campaign and am looking for new ideas and what not. Just interested in what other people have to say.

Well, the Principality is a dwarf run state. The original Guide has the area as lawful good. In all areas save Gryrax dwarves are the more common race. In my opinion, the state would be more secular, but not without religious influence. I wouldn't think any of the gods you've listed have any real influence, I'm guessing Ulaa would be the dominant faith.
Most positions would be by royal charter. Power would not be absolute though. The lords of the land assuredly wield considerable power themselves. The legal system is probably pretty uniform.

That said, I imagine that Gryrax would have an extensive number of liberties granted by the Prince in its charter, given that it is a largely human enclave.
