OJ 20 - Of Oerth and Altar - Early History of the Velverdyva

Of Oerth and Altar: The Early History of the Velverdyva & the Origin of Cuthbert by Sam Weiss is an interesting article about the origins of the enigmatic St. Cuthbert. You can download at http://www.oerthjournal.com/oj20.html

I always felt like St. Cuthbert deserved some background in the Flanaess so kudos to Sam for tackling this. Also the fact that he is a Saint always made me think he should be more accessible and oerthly to his worshippers, which the article gives. Plus you now have cool Cuthberran aphorisms to recite as you smite the heathens and backsliders. Happy

Those aren't my aphorisms, they are from T1 The Village of Hommlett.
And yes, Cuthbert needed some background history.
Actually, my two articles are linked. It was thinking about the differences between Cuthbert and the Old Faith that led to me musing about other faiths.
