Greyhawk Deities in LG2

For a while I've been considering makig some slight changes to the data of Greyhawk Deities that was presented in Living Greyhawk Journal #2.

I was wondering what some of your thoughts are on these changes?

1. I'm a bit puzzled why Moradin doesn't rate the War domain. It is listed in his Area of Concern. Corellon gets it. I know the dwarves have a war god, but it would seem sensible for Moradin to have that domain.

2. Dumathoin: surely a mining god would rate a heavy pick rather than a warhammer. There are way too many gods with warhammers and very few 3rd edition weapons.

3. Joramy: Volcanoes, Wrath, Anger, Quarrels... and a quarterstaff. C'mon give her an angry weapon. Some sort of martial weapon at least, a sword, morning star or something.

4. Daern: Defense and Fortifications. Seems like a light crossbow would be a good fit.

5. Tsolorandril? Uuumm. Anyone care to explain this? Areas of concern: Wave motions?????

Anybody else made any changes?

I agree here, and since the new versions of D&D have come out have moved Dumathoin's favored weapon to heavy pick. Wink

He does have it, according to the file here: http://www.wizards.com/rpga/downloads/LG_Deities_v1-3.zip

"Any pick" has also been added to Dumathoin's list of favored weapons.

That was his area of concern from the time he was first invented. As described in LGJ #3: "Tsolorandril sees his role as record keeper, noting the peaks and valleys of the cycles of politics, time, and nature." His clerics act as seers and advisors. Perhaps it would be clearer if you considered him the hero-god of prognostication and study.

Rasgon,

I appreciate the reference to the file - I have an older version.

However both you comments appear incorrect. I checked Moradin in that document and he does not have the War domain, and Dumathoin still only has Warhammer listed as his weapon.

So I am wondering if you imagined this or saw it somewhere else?

No, both of my comments were correct. Here, I'll make a screenshot.

Edit: Oh! I see the problem! I linked to the wrong file.

Here: http://www.wizards.com/rpga/downloads/LG_Deities.zip

That's the right one.
