GreyRaven

I just started browsing thru some old TSR Ravenloft material for use in my current game, and I found a piece of (possibly) canon material. AD&D 2nd edition Ravenloft Accessory RR2 -- "Book of Crypts", Chapter 3, The "Dark Minstrel" has clear Greyhawk references via location and calendar dating. It doesn't really add to the Greyhawk setting as anything other than an adventure, but I thot I'd mention it anyway for the other enthusiasts out there.

Has anyone else seen this 9 page little gem? Or perhaps played in it? Was it good? Should it be "canonized"? Maybe it needs a review. Idea

Cheers

Like many ravenloft items "The Dark Minstril" is a mix of differnt campaign settings. For example the people in the town sem to worship Lendor, and the main villian originaly came from Krynn (Dragon Lance)...

what I do not understand is why, if the main villain came from the Dragonlance setting as his history states, does his diary contain dates from the greyhawk calender?

in any case, since the adventure takes place in the demi-plane of dread, there is no need to "canonize" it as a greyhawk module, even though greyhawk terms are used...

it is however a good little adventure, and in the right circumstances I could see removing it from ravenloft and setting it in the flanaess.
