EDIT IN: Sorry, Rossik... I though that'd work, because I assumed that Dragonsfoot had imported the posts. There's a master forum at Dragonsfoot, but it's not a mirror, instead a collection of links. I don;t know what happened to the threads at ENW, as I'm not a regular lurker there.

I have printouts of the first several threads, and have access to .pdf copies of the others. I'll see if it's OK to upload them to the Downloads section.

Over at Dragonsfoot, there's a very comprehensible forum about this.
(Yeah, an entire forum!)

The main ones were the EN World threads and the Dragonsfoot threads. There were a few other minor ones as well.

The DF forum has all of the DF Q&As, plus links to the same EN World Q&A, but the EN World links are broke.

Rossik, you might find my Greyhawk Lore Project helpful:

http://greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com/2008/05/greyhawk-lore-project.html

I cut out all the chatter and just keep the posts from Gary and the other original LG Campaign folks that are substantive as regards what Gary's Greyhawk campaign was like. Each with a link back to the original.

(im reading now....and the format seems a little strange.

i read this in my Word:

"rather amazingly when Robilar was ,t Quij once saved Robilar from some trolls'Didn""? incapacitated/unconcious"

when i copy and paste it here, its all right:

Evidently the loss of the Gygax Q&A is a known issue at ENWorld. Unfortunately as of the 13th the problem is still not solved:

Sorry. I should have checked those links. Normally i'd advise hitting the Cache link to access those sites in googles cache, but most of the hits display only a single post.

Try www.archive.org if you have link to the threads.

Thanks for the reminder, I'll ping back on the Q&A threads from ENWorld to see if hosting on CF! is OK or not.

Also, for those inclined to archive EGG materials, the TLG Castle Zagyg forums will be nuked on the 25th, and all content will be gone, including EGG's Q&As in there: see the announcement @ http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6612&mforum=trolllordgames

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to have the time to preserve the content in these forums before they're gone. Hopefully someone else will.

Do you have links to specific threads you want to preserve? Maybe we can to a Post Fest where we divy them up and archive them as a group project?

I don't know the TLG forum content very well, so I haven't earmarked anything over there in general yet. My gut says that the content in the CZ forum itself, at http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=14&mforum=trolllordgames is likely the most-valuable, but I really don't know if there's good stuff in the other 3 boards that should also be preserved or not.

Postfest is about encouraging fan-made Greyhawk material, so this type of thing wouldn't fit.

That being said, this would bea great group project to do *RIGHT NOW*, and I hope everyone makes an effort to archive any and all EGG material themselves.

I'll make this suggestion:

Everybody who wants to, pick a single site(or more than one if you are really gung-ho) to archive material from and post your name and which site you are going to archive material from *in this thread*. Somebody familiar with the Troll Lord forums/site ought to jump on it quick before they redo the forums/site on December 25th, as some material could be inadvertantly lost.

I copied all of the following threads from the TLG CZ forum, since they have posts by EGG:

Larger, more-readable, image at http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/temp/egg/cz_threads_with_egg_posts-2008-12-22.jpg

I also snagged the two threads from The Gygaxian Fantasy Worlds forum. I haven't archived the LA forum, not sure how much content there may be useful or not yet. Anyone know if EGG often talked Greyhawk, OD&D, and such within the context of LA???
