Lord Kargoth Torquann of Mansbridge

Evening,

I know that Lord Kargoth, a Knight Protector became Saint Kargoth the first Death Knight of greyhawk. However there is not much on his life prior to becoming a death knight.

Has anyone ever wrote a possible story on his life ?

Thanks

Not to my knowledge (limited though it is compared to some here), but I absolutely love back story on creatures such as Death Knights and Liches, so if you do find something, please do share!

The Living Greyhawk Journal No 07: Death Knights of Oerth II (CY 591 Sunsebb) in Dragon #291 gives only a little bit of info on Kargoth before his transformation. If you haven't read it I'd start there.

Saint Kargoth

Actually ... Cebrion is right. The Living Greyhawk Journal No 07: Death Knights of Oerth II (CY 591 Sunsebb) in Dragon #291 does give a bit of information ...

However, The LGJ No.6, in the issue of Dragon Magazine right before the one he mentions (that would make it #290) has a great story of Kargoth's history that's of a good length . And wonderfully, it's by our very own Gary Holian. And, I might add, it has some very nice artwok.

It is only about the immediate period of his transformation. There's little about how his life went before that. I, for one, would love to see a story like P.N. Elrod's I, Strahd, or something along those lines to see what kind of person he was before. Or even a short story that gives early life details, ala Elminster: the Making of a Mage, or Raymond E. Feist's Talon of the Silver Hawk.

As other's have said, if you find something, I would love to hear more about it.
