WikiIndex (a good place to list/promote this wiki)

I've found a wiki called WikiIndex that is trying to be an index of all other wikis.

I'd like to see this wiki added to that index. The list on WikiIndex might help more fans find the wiki (and it would also help WikiIndex itself).

I could do it myself (if someone can resolve the name issue).

However, it might be better for someone internal for the wiki to look after this page, as you need to add a bit of "advertising blurb" to tell people what the wiki is about.

If you want an idea of how your page might look, check out the following pages:

I've put up a basic page for the wiki under The Great Library of Greyhawk.

I need to find a way to grab the wiki image and put a copy of it on your WikiIndex page. I'll do a bit of research and come back if I need more help.

I can't find the location of the image file at the moment. I've asked for help on the wiki.

Robbastard has been helping me on my wiki page. He says that Brian Blumklotz (Saracenus) made the logo for the wiki, but I'm not sure if I've got the "right" to lift the logo and drop a copy of it at WikiIndex. I've left a question about this on his talk page, rather than step on his toes.

In the meantime, I've made a temporary workaround to the problem, by putting a direct link to the image on the WikiIndex page. That is going to make WikiIndex eat a small bit of Canonfire!'s bandwidth, but it is promoting the wiki, so I think that is a small price to pay.

As soon as I can confirm that Saracenus is happy with the image being put on WikiIndex, I'll put a copy over there and link to that. It will look exactly the same to the end user, but will cost Canonfire! less. Cool

Just curious about the latest on this -- Has the issue been resolved yet? Confused

Like your "links," by the way. Thanks. Happy

Saracenus has kindly given me permission to use the logo on WikiIndex, to help promote the wiki. But before I do that, I want to make sure I can put a notice on the image page to let people know that the image belongs to Saracenus, is used with permission and is not released under the CC licence.

Thanks. I'd like to find even more Greyhawk links (as well as links to other D&D settings).

I've finally got this sorted.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me. Cool
