GenCon 2012

Who's going this year, and is anyone interested in getting together for dinner & drinks to discuss all things 'hawk?

I shall be there all four days Rob. Your pick. Just for an suggestion, my favorite place within walking distance is the Ram Brewery. Anyone else game?

I'll be there, gentlemen; for the entire Con. I'll be representing Total Party Kill Games - working the booth, running sneak peaks of our not yet released products, and play-testing works in progress. I'll be sure to get some free time in to meet with all my fellow Canonfire! 'Hawkers. Cool

Alas, I won't be there this year (though I will be attending the NTX RPG Con in June, and KantCon in July, in case anyone else is going to be at those?).

Yer working a booth?! I'll be sure to see you for drinks and in the exhibition hall. My friends might be interested in what you're sellin' too.

I think posting a link to the company website would violate Canonfire! protocol, so I'll just leave with the name above to look us up. I'm a recent editor and freelance writing collaborator with the company. Many of us will be at GenCon Indie this year, so we'll have time to free up for individual entertainment as well as company product promotion. Wink

By the way, we have several products out with 5-star reviews, but the Ship of Fools is the first one with no criticisms about proofreading errors - it's also the first product I did the final proofreading on for TPKGames. Cool

I should be there all four days as well, & am also down with the Ram.

So far, it looks like the following are going:

Ashur
Baronzemo (Sat only)
Free City Assassin (Thurs & Fri)
JSHII
Mort
Robbastard
SirXaris

At this point, I'd propose a gathering on Friday or Saturday night (whichever night the most folks can make it).

Maybe we can meet around fiveish somewhere at the con, then head over to the Ram (hopefully, we'll have a table by six, depending on how many show up. Any thoughts?

I do know from experience and BZ can attest to this, if you have trouble finding someone or yer early to show up start at the Ram bar and ask around for Greyhawk fans. Wink

I am probably going to be too tied up with meetings and the ENnies and stuff during the evenings to drop in, but I will be anchored at the Paizo booth throughout the convention. Please stop by and say hi!

Hey Erik! Well that's a surprise. I will definitely be stopping by, and I might attend a Paizo seminar or two. Good to have you around on the CF forums again!

Anyone attending seminars or shows? I must admit I spend more time at those than playing games. If anyone wants to try and catch me at one, here is what I'm attending. You might be able to get into the Paizo ones with blank tickets:

D&D Next: Creating the Core Thu at 1:00 PM

Paizo Publishing: 2012 and Beyond Thu at 4:00 PM

Warhammer 40K and Fantasy Roleplay Fri at 10:00 AM

What is the Sundering? Fri at 1:00 PM

Ennies Award Ceremony (Friday 8:00 PM I think)

Gamer to Gamer LIVE Podcast Recording Sat at 6:00 PM

Golarion: Inside the Pathfinder Campaign Setting Sun at 10:00 AM

anymore Gencon attendees?

So far it seems Saturday 5 to ? is best for me personally. I know Friday is the Ennie awards in the evening sometime and I'd be obligated to attend that if my gaming group's podcast gets nominated or not. This would edge out Free City Assassin unfortunately. If anyone wants to try two meetups, a Thursday at the RAM (5pm-) and a Saturday (5pm-) that might work out.

Is there anyone who is going to GenCon that is NOT on Facebook?

There are two GH groups there, & I was thinking that more people would know of these plans were we to make it a Facebook event.

Canonfire!: https://www.facebook.com/groups/145589585501508/

Flanaess Geographical Society: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ghmaps/

You may find me in either group, under the handle "Rob xx."

Since some of us use different screen names on FB, it may be beneficial to "friend" one another.

I'm under Robxx (page address is . . . book.com/rob.xx.9 ).
