Vesicant: The Lost Module of the Slave Lords

I recently stumbled across the module "Vesicant" in Dungeon #16 and was struck by its similarities to the Slave Lord series. While not set in Greyhawk, Vesicant was clearly inspired by A1-4. With the Slavers receiving a lot of Hasbro attention and two new modules this summer, Vesicant would make a perfect 7th installment in the series.
Common themes include:
*characters levels 4-6.
*the PC's are hired by an alliance of surrounding nations to end a pirate menace.
*they journey to a temperate coastal city and surrounding mountains in the summer time.
*the pirate city has a mixed population of evil human and humanoid factions led by a half-orc.
*The pirates capture slaves on their raids and sell them in the city.
*There is a "Dragon Temple" and priest.
The module itself is very non-linear. The first two thirds consist of information gathering, stealth, and faction politics, the end is a wilderness trek and dungeon crawl.

Just skimmed through it, and yeah, I could see it being made to fit pretty easily. The city of Scrape could make a good Blue.

I know about A0 in the Slavers reprint; what's the second module? _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/

I've noted the A0 addition to the SlaveLords re-release, but haven't had the chance to peruse it. Anyone care to share the basic gist of that module??? I'm very fond of the A series and own all the originals.
very curious,

Hmmm. Does it tie into the A0-4 modules well, or is it completely independent save in title? _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/

It takes place shortly after A4 and fits right in. The PC's journey to a remote location and tie up a loose end. Worth a one-month subscription to DDI.

And I can go back and download all the rest of the other GH-related articles, too, right? _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/

Yep. You can access the whole backlist of Dungeon and Dragon since they went electronic, though navigating their website is a mess. Recent issues are all downloadable as a digest and some of the early issues have also been compiled, but a lot of issues are still segmented as individual article downloads, which makes file management a PITA.
Also, the terms of service state that Hasbro will automatically renew your subscription and gouge you for another $10 even if you only sign up for one month, so be sure to mark your calendar 29 days out and cancel it.

Well I had added Dungeon 16 to my list of issues to download from WOTC but alas it seems to be unavailable.

If you can't countenance a google search, there are physical copies on ebay for $5.

He means D&D Insider, the current WoTC subscription service. It only has the issues of Dungeon and Dragon since that publication went entirely digital, so # 16 would not be on there.
