Has anyone customized their own "rest of Oerth"?

This may belong more in the Heresy! section, but I'll try it here first. Feel free to move or redirect me over there if more appropriate.

I was wondering if anyone has branched off their own timeline, veering slightly or even greatly from the base timelines of Oerth? More specifically with the non-Flanaess regions of the world?
