So, we know “The trees in this (Dim) forest are old and huge and are so broad and leafy that the ground beneath the trees is dim even on the sunniest of days.”
My query is what trees would be found in the Dim Forest?
Real world evergreen trees with leaves (great for keeping the area below them in shade) that might be found in the Dim Forest include holly trees, some species of oak, and maybe bay laurel trees (iffy on this one)
Excellent suggestion! No matter the season, the forest would be gloomy in the day, and near lightless at night. I recall an old Dungeon Magazine adventure featuring drow (living in a wood, iirc) that would be very suitable. _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -
