Nyrond

Okay, one of my friends said I should set a campaign in Nyrond. So, naturally I checked both the Gold Box (page 29) and the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, (pages 74-76) for information on this place. I checked the articles, and no one wrote an article on Nyrond. I checked the boards here (Touring the Flanaess) for information. I even looked at a short by Greyhawk Grognard to see if he had anything (Adventure Hook #67).

I know I could check the RPGA site on the Wayback Machine for adventures, but I'd like to start from scratch. So I think I have my bases covered. Except here. If you run a campaign in Nyrond, I'd like to hear about it. I'm asking for Setting details. Did you manage to save Nyrond in your campaign? Did the Kingdom of Ahilissa over ran it?

The Marklands sourcebook has a whole section on Nyrond. It should prove useful. A pdf "players guide to nyrond 598 cy" has more and a good map.

Hope these add flavor and fun for you and your group.

Cheers

I too recommend The Marklands. There's also tidbits in From the ashes about some adventures ideas. I once ran a Nyrond campaign, and an Almorian one, they were fun.

My group is in pre-Wars Nyrond and Urnst (574 CY), but I’ve drawn heavily from later Living Greyhawk materials. If you’re really hardcore, you can find a few references in the Gord books, as well.

For everyone that posted with your helpful suggestions, yes they were great! Thank you very much! But I have word on a new campaign set in Nyrond in the World of Greyhawk.

I just noticed that I have a copy of the Dragon Magazine archive. From issues 1 to 250. I checked it for the Dragon Annual #1, which is not there. However, I do have a question.

What issues of Dragon, in the Archive, does talk about Nyrond?

Russ Taylor had compiled a list of Greyhawk articles from the archive
