Anyone have any experiences or thoughts about campaigning in these areas, particularly the Princepality?
Any good sources of information?
It that time again. New campaign planning season. |
Not extensively, but my GM has run a few things in the Ulek states, primarily the County of Ulek. He runs it with a pastoral, Celtic feel--not the violent barbarians, but more laid back, like modern Ireland or Scotland in the country only in a fantasy setting. Things are peaceful, and the folk there largely untouched by the Greyhawk Wars.
Our most extensive adventure involved exploring the abandoned ancestral home of my primary character (a paladin), a haunted keep with dark secrets and mysteries. While there was some straightforward dungeon crawl (fighting orcs and griffons), the primary goal was to investigate the secrets of my character's past: magic, and demons (personal and otherwise) set in a place out of the Quiet Man (a very good movie to give you an idea what the people are like).
