Emirikol the Chaotic

Other than the illustration in the old 1st ed. DM's Guide and his appearance in the Paladin in Hell adventure, does anyone have any information on this NPC?

Emirikol the Chaotic is said to have been one of Dave Trampier's PCs. He is also said to have not been one of Dave Trampier's PCs but rather a NPC that killed one of Dave Trampier's PCs.

I love the artwork in the old DMG, and my players gutted Paladin in Hell so quickly that I can barely remember how that Emirikol the Chaotic was supposed to play out.

3E saw the publication of the Fist of Emirikol and later the virtual Fist of Emirikol. This excerpt of Elder Evils also mentions Emirikol being a powerful wild mage.

The 2E A Paladin in Hell has the most detailed description of him.

I also dimly remember some great fan fiction on the greytalk list featuring Emirikol as the antagonist in the Star Wars Universe to certain time and plane hopping quasideities from a Western Universe.

BTW here's a link to 1E DMG pic and here's a link to the story of the mysterious disappearance of David Trampier

Hmmm, I've never heard either of those before, Fenreer: do you recall where you heard that before?

I know for certain that our beloved Col_Pladoh himself said that Emirikol was NOT Dave Trampier's PC, debunking the rumor that Emirikol WAS Tramp's PC.

The "was a character that killed his PC" claim was something I'd seen elsewhere, in response to a another question of whether Emirikol the Chaotic was a PC portrait and who ran the character. I wish I could remember where I'd read that almost as much as I wish I could remember some of the places where I'd read all the Sargent gossip back during the "T$R Makes People Crazy (literally)" message board ranting era of the late '90s.

What I find odd is that there's a possibility that I've come across 'Hawkish mutterings that you haven't. That's, quite frankly, impossible. Maybe I need a CAT scan...

I also wanna find that hilarious pic of Lorraine Williams in the t-shirt dress. That was... quite... odd.

I'd make him a Baklunish Emir called Ikol, or give him a fiefdom somewhere in the Baklunish nations called Ikol.

-I never thought of it before, but it looks like "emir" (prince, roughly) and "Loki" spelled backwards. Typical EGG-type name. Laughing

-Hmmm... I'm not saying that is was EGG, just his unfortunate style. Wink Laughing

This is in the AD&D2 thread. Couldn't this be moved to the general topics thread so that everyone can get a crack at it? I don't think everyone reads the edition specific threads...
