Burne (but originally spelled Berne), Rufus, Jaroo, and Otis were all PCs from the original campaign.
Berne was played by Ernie Gygax, Otis was an NPC similar to Elmo originally, but later taken over by Luke Gygax. Tim Kask played Jaroo. I can't remember who played Rufus. There were a couple others, but I never got their names/characters.

Isn't the outline of the castle design on the Hommlet map? I'm sure that's as far as development went.

I've drawn it in on my map, and added 16 ballistae and a catapult. I also stuck another Inn across the road, where the laborer camp used to be.
It looks like I'll also be adding a big tower on the hill to the north.

And, best of all, it was all done in a week of game time!
Note that the 6th level construction spell came in very handy.

good louck to your new inn, as the welcome wench is the "love" of hommlet :D

maybe that will be the place for those who got expelled from the WW, ehehehe

if you dont mind, when if finish your project, do you care to show us?

Kevin Hendryx was a player in the playtest for the proto-2e at TSR, using T2. He was playing a single-classed bard (analgous to the version from Dragon 56). I don't know whether he played in Gary's campaign version of T1/T2, though.

IIRC, the keep is completed in Monte Cook's 3.0 Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil adventure.
