Yet another Lanthorn query:

Does the magical bonus of a shield also apply to hit and damage rolls? Or does this merely apply to AC?

Ex: When using a +2 small shield as a weapon (shield rush or punch) does the wielder gain a +2 to hit and damage?

Also, I am under the impression that creatures requiring magical weapons to hit that this applies to shields used in this vein.

For instance, a +1 shield is needed to damage a lycanthrope, a +2 shield (or better) is required to hurt an elemental, etc.

Unless stated in the description of the item magical shields and armor have their + modifiers apply to AC only, but shields are classically weapons as well as gauntlets and in my campaign are used as weapons dealing their modifier as to hit and damage as well.

What Jason said. A shield could *additionally* be enchanted as weapon, though usually it will have a more obvious D&D-esque weapon component to it, like a bladed or spike (even considering that a basic shield rim is perfectly capable of smashing a nose, crushing a windpipe, etc.) Still needs to be enchanted as a weapon to get any sort of To Hit bonus. The shield's AC bonus is just that - an AC bonus, and nothing more.
