Ghost Tower of Inverness backstory

C2: The Ghost Tour of Inverness begins:

Quote:
Know you that in the elder days before the Invoked Devastation and the Rain of Colorless Fire, when the ancient peaks of the Abbor-Alz still thrust skyward sharp and majestic and the Flan tribesmen were but newcomers to the land, there existed between the Bright Desert and the mouth of the river Selintan a great fortress called Inverness.

I hadn't really thought about this before, but that would put the construction of Inverness in a pretty unexplored part of Greyhawk history - before or just after the arrival of the Flan in the Flaness. Is anything known about that period? The only other reference I can remember was the construction of Exag, which I think predated the Flan as well. Does anyone know of any other details? Has anyone explored this in their game?

(I'll leave aside any discussion of mountain weathering rates in Greyhawk, as that seems pretty unanswerable, and stick to the human migrations.)

the City in the Suss seems to predate the Flan

Wasn't there also a troglodyte kingdom worshipping demogorgon that pre-dated the Flan? I believe it was in the area of Sunndi/The Great Kingdom, as I remember the early Flan of Ehlissa coming into conflict with it.

That's right - I'll have to look up the troglodytes.

Jason, what leads you to believe that the city predates the Flan? I recall it being pre-Suel, but that's much later than pre-Flan.
