Inverted Ziggurats

Is there any specified connection between Tharizdun and Keraptis, based on their mutual use of inverted ziggurats?

Huh, interesting thought.

I don't think Keraptis could originally have been intended to be a worshiper of Tharizdun, given that White Plume Mountain was written by Lawrence Schick (not Gygax) and published before Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun (1979 vs 1982).

I suppose that Gygax could have gotten the inverted ziggurat idea from White Plume though.
