Dwellers of the Forbidden City

Where did you set this module? In the Amedio Jungle or Hepmonaland? I got the module, and I would like to use it in my campaign. I'm asking if everyone who ran this classic module where they set it in their own campaigns.

I theoretically set it in Hepmonaland, though I couldn稚 get the PCs to take the bait.

That was probably disappointing for you, though.

Mike Badolato wrote a substantive expansion to this adventure BITD, but I知 unsure if he has it hosted anywhere. I値l ask him.

I ran I1 a couple of times as a kid, but I致e never run it since.

I have considered mashing up I1, C1, X1, and WG6, along with some of the PaizoHawk-era expansions to X1, Sasserine, Cauldron, and Savage Tide, with newer OSR modules like Forgotten Fane of the Coiled Goddess, and perhaps with some other ruined cities adventures (Gaxmoor, Big Rubble, etc.), but I have not had cause to do more than ponder it a bit, thus far.

I would likely relocate I1 to islands in the Pearl Sea, or to its own demi-plane, a la Isle of the Ape.

Allan.

Mike was enthusiastic about hosting it here or elsewhere; I値l dig up the file I have, confirm it痴 the most-recent version, and see where we go from there.
