Help! I'm trying to figure out how long it takes the party to go from the village they started to the Keep on the Borderlands (basically in the mountains). I checked two maps on the Flanaess, and none of them have a scale.

Greyhawk: the Player' Guide has latitudal lines on it's map, so that helps. My campaign is set in Nyrond, and each Latitude has 70 miles between them. The group is traveling with a minstrel (bard 1/expert 3) to the Keep on the borderlands, and I'm guessing a three day journey.

I didn't check the maps with the gold box yet to see if they have a scale.

Anna Meyer's maps (annabmeyer.com) are all scaled. The roads even have dots on them showing 10 mile posts. There are maps based on 576CY and 598CY. Nyrond is pretty much the size of France on an overall scale.

The original Darlene maps of The World of Greyhawk indicated that the hexes were ten leagues across. That equals about 30 miles.

According to our own Longetalos, the Kingdom of Nyrond comprises about 250,000 square miles.

So pretty huge on an European scale - larger than France (~210k square miles) or Spain (~195k square miles), almost as large as Texas (~261k square miles land only).
